I have to remind myself to lean not on my own understanding, as I stopped understanding God's allowance of some things a long time ago. I still sometimes make attempts to understand and fail...then come back to these verses and submit to Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV [5] Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. [6] In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. A good reminder also: Romans 8:28 ESV [28] And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
