Been diving into 1 Corinthians 14:32, where it says "the spirits of prophets are subject to the prophets." It’s not about being controlled by outside forces, but about us having self-control, especially in church settings. The Holy Spirit empowers, not overrides—New Testament scriptures like Galatians 5:23 and Romans 8 show we work with Him, always in charge of our actions. It’s all about order and reverence, not chaos. At the same time, we need to be open to the Holy Spirit’s leading, and biblical responses like falling in God’s presence, as seen in Acts 9:4, when Paul fell on the road to Damascus, or John 18:6, when soldiers fell at Jesus’ words, 'I am he,' are appropriate when God manifests His presence. Plus, 2 Timothy 1:7, reminds us God gives a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. Of course, the Holy Spirit can manifest through us by the gifts He's given us. This is in cooperation with our free and yeilded will. I have seen and even experienced other types of manifestations that I believe may not be from God, but we should be very careful in judging such things. Just because you've never seen or experienced something before, doesn't mean it is from Satan, but we do have quite a bit to go on from the Bible that was preserved for us. Satan seems to always try to infiltrate and counterfeit what God is doing.1 John 4:1(NIV): "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." The ecclesia is going to be in need of so much more discernment in these coming days. Spiritual warfare is real, and much of the battle is waged in the mind. Feel free to share any of your experiences or biblical references.
