Overcoming Unbelief Trilogy. People in Place, book 2. The Carnage of Unbelief. I stand on the edge of the cliff and look over. The crashed vehicle is below, a back wheel spinning. It is on top of a heap of other vehicles. I think, “Carnage of unbelief. In my mind, H speaks, “Yes, unbelief will always do what it thinks it has to do to be in control and have total power. There have been many lost souls in the service of Unbelief. It is a tragedy the Father and I weep over.” We depart, and I find myself sitting on the bench in the graveyard. I think, “Oh, how appropriate, from the ‘carnage of unbelief’ to a graveyard next to an old chapel which is next to a big brick structure.” I feel the presence of the Lord sitting next to me. “The Lord says, Colonel, I know the carnage of unbelief is tragic and it pains My heart, but this is not the time to get cynical. This is the time to press into Me and listen for the guidance of Holy Spirit in your life. The ‘carnage of unbelief’ would be greater if it wasn’t for believers in the city and soldiers like you fighting the good fight. Then He says, “The hardest part about living in two realms at one time, is you see more than you have before and more than most people do. It’s kind of like going to the theater where the audience only sees what’s going on in front of the curtain. But the Director, Me, sees what’s happening on both sides of the curtain. Because I am the Director and I can choose to give vision to those whom I choose, I give it to those who are hungry to see on both sides of the curtain at the same time.”
