"WE FIGHT NOT TO ENSLAVE, BUT TO SET A COUNTRY FREE, AND TO MAKE ROOM ON THE EARTH FOR HONEST MEN TO LIVE." THOMAS PAINE The American Revolution stands alone in history as unique. It is the only one of its kind to have been led by the most wealthy, those with the most to lose, not the oppressed masses. It is also the only revolution to achieve its purpose for more than a brief few years; but has now lasted nearly 250 years. How could such an anomaly happen? There is not just one simple answer to this. Several of the most rare factors in history had to come together, and not only exist at the same time, a mathematical impossibility by itself, but they had to merge together in one small group of visionaries. This would be like having Newton and Einstein live at the same time, and not only that, in the same country, and in the same neighborhood. The only comparison we have to this is when Jesus gathered the twelve nobodies who turned the world upside down with a message. Historians have called this gathering in 1776 a social miracle, but those with faith would call an act of God. But God does not act without a plan; what was His plan? Was it to build the most free and prosperous nation in history, or did He have even more in His heart? I think it was more. In the 1776 revolution there were more than 30 remarkable thinkers with a noble and free nation in their heart. Just to create a country like they foresaw would have been a miracle without any opposition, but they were opposed by the most powerful empire in the world, with the most powerful army and navy, and they did not even have an army or navy. Just the madness of this proposal would stand out in history, but for them to actually pull it off--the odds could not even be calculated. Those who were a part of the 1776 miracle acknowledged that their success had to be the result of divine intervention. It was just too extreme to be anything else. But what was God's intent? After their success in becoming free of the British Empire, the kings and sovereigns of the world made bets on how long it would take for America to have its own king. Most bets were for less than five years, the longest any democracy had ever lasted until then. It's now been 250 years. We're now in a time when something remarkable is happening again. We again have events, such as the failed attempts to kill our president, that are widely acknowledged as miracles. We now have two of the most unique men in history, Donald Trump and Elon Musk, not only living at the same time, but meeting, becoming friends, and working together in a historic partnership to save our Republic. President Trump has also gathered a team that is being widely acknowledged as perhaps the most remarkable ever. They have accomplished more in the first 100 days than may have ever been done in an entire four year term. The changes are so profound that it has been called "the Second American Revolution." But this one is not to begin a new government, but to renew and restore the one we were originally given. Like the first American Revolution, the opposition is great. But the favor of God has been greater. Why? What is His purpose now? The Scriptures declare that He does not begin a work that He does not finish. What did He begin in 1776 that He intends to now finish?
