Hopefully going forward President Trump will take a more active role in negotiating forgein policies. Steve Whitkoff continues to show a serious naivety when it comes to dealing with forgein conflicts. His statements assuming that Hamas can be trusted, that the IRGC can be monitored successfully to prevent nuclear armourment, and that Russia should take control of all it's four desired areas in Ukraine even though they do not currently possess them make one question his capacity to bring peace. It seems he is out of his depth on these issues. Peace is accomplished after victory, not only for the sake of peace. If Hamas is left in control Israel will always be in perpetual war. If the IRGC is not forced to dismantle they will always be a threat to the west. In the Ukraine war, the only way for peace is if both parties can walk away with a win. Russia gets some land and Ukraine prevent further incursions. The boundaries have been moved and it's unrealistic to think that they will go back to prewar levels and should not because that would mean the loss of life was to no avail. Ukraine can be proud that they stopped the Russian army from marching on Kiev and Russia can be proud that they stopped the expansion of NATO. That is peace in that region. Who ever negotiates these conflicts must understand these facts and be able to present them clearly. Let's pray that our President and Mr. Whitkoff have wisdom to proceed with divine decisions in these very difficult situations.
