THERE IS A DITCH ON EITHER SIDE OF THE PATH OF LIFE--legalism on one side, and lawlessness on the other. The journey of life for most people is one of bouncing between these two ditches. After we fall into a ditch on one side, we tend to overreact and then fall of the ditch on the other side. Maturity comes from learning to stay out of either of these ditches and on the straight and narrow path between them.
