North Carolina voters! Below is a link to the North Carolina legislature website for HB 318 that requires sheriff's to notify ICE before releasing prisoners out into the public. This proposed house bill is a companion bill to HB 10 that was passed last year. This new bill, HB 318, lists additional crimes to that require ICE notification by the sheriffs. There is some controversy with Sheriff McFadden in Mecklenburg county in his understanding of his role and responsibility and notifying ICE.
