Overcoming Unbelief Trilogy. People in Place, book 2. An Introduction: The Man At The Table. The man at the table says to them, “Now it’s time to introduce you to Enoch.” Enoch steps forward. As he does, joy floods the room. So does the smell of “morning glory.” All of us are over joyed to see Enoch. We all just rest in the joy of the Lord for a while. The man at the table says to Enoch, “You do that all the time. You cause us to experience the joy of the Lord in such a way that it settles everything.” Enoch smiles and says, “I know.” He looks at the four of them sitting at the table and begins to speak. He gets close to the table, puts both hands on it, and leads towards them and says, “It is very important for you to always, always, always walk in the joy of the Lord. Do not let anyone or anything steal your joy. If you feel it slipping away, remember the joy in this room, remember the Saints of Old, remember me standing here and telling you the joy of the Lord is your strength. You need to walk in this, you need to press into this, you need to always want this. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Remember that it truly is. People will think you’re crazy, but that’s okay. They thought that of me, too. Remember the joy.”
