Update: Nancy Miosi Today has been an eventful day at the hospital as Nancy underwent a procedure to remove the fluid buildup in and around her lungs. This intervention has significantly alleviated her pain and improved her breathing. While she remains on oxygen support, the doctor indicated that she may need one more procedure to further aid her lungs. Additionally, Nancy had an X-ray to assess the bone lesions and tumor associated with her multiple myeloma. We received encouraging news — the cancer treatments are proving more effective than the doctor initially anticipated! (Thank you, Jesus!) The tumor behind her eye in the skull bone is being aggressively targeted by the chemotherapy, along with the other bone lesions. They have been drastically reduced just in the past two treatments! The fluid buildup was a byproduct (and response of the body) of the cancer cells being eradicated by the therapies she’s undergone over the past two weeks. We are grateful for these positive strides and so appreciate your continued prayers!
