Update: Targeted prayer for Nancy Miosi Hi friends and family, Nancy met with her Hematologist today who is at the cancer institute here at the hospital. Today, she will start targeted cancer therapy with a special drug which will block a specific protein that causes the cancer cells to multiply. Her blood pressure has shot up today and she is a little tachy. We are asking for prayer for her blood pressure to become stabilized. Her pain has decreased since yesterday in a wonderful way which allows her more comfort. Therefore she is now able to accommodate some very minor additional physical therapy to keep her lungs from gettting pnumonia. The new medicine will be given this afternoon. Please keep her in prayer that she will handle it all well as she is monitored for side effects. Thank you so much! Just to recap her injuries: 1. Compression fracture on her T8 spine from a MM lesion. 2. Fractured left rib. Partially collapsed left lobe of her lung from the fracture. 3. MM tumor in her left eye sphenoid bone. It needs to stop pressing on the back of her eye. 4. Multiple Myeloma in all of her bone marrow throughout her entire skeleton. 5. MM lesion mass on her sternum. Causing her great pain. Remember the good news - God is able and willing to- we just need to pray it in. Also, this cancer is treatable and will respond well to medicine! 💓
