Over the last 10 years or so, I have asked the Holy Spirit to speak to me about the winners of every Superbowl, World Series, and Stanley cup in advance. If I was hearing perfectly and my own heart wasn't in the way, that would be a 30-0 record. We know John 16:13 says, "However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.…" . Yet I have heard of some saying "why would God talk to people about that?" I think Jesus wants to engage in sports with us as Father and Sons. I am not talking about Him blessing idolatry of sports which it can become, but Spirit lead passion of a Father and Son together. And I know that He trusts me with that information. I don't gamble with this inside info. My actual record of hearing on these sports outcomes is 26-4. My heart got in the way a few times. Last year I called the Chiefs as noted in a post here of 1 year ago. And yes he has spoken to me for this year too. I think it is fun to partner with God and watch the game.
