Thank you for your first Rant of the year. I wanted to make note of two things. First, I appreciated your acknowledgement that the Gospel of the Kingdom is not the same as the gospel of salvation. And second, when you mentioned the list that exclude us from kingdom living and confessed your propensity towards outburst of anger and the ways that you have grown in that area, it struck me in two ways. First (and this goes back to my first point) when we are acting out in anger, we are removing ourselves from the righteousness, peace and joy that is kingdom living in the here and now. In my opinion, it is not about some future state but an immediate movement from our "seated place" to one of turmoil. Shoving those feelings aside is not healthy for us humans. By the Spirit, I believe that the sudden onset of anger is a good clue to us that there is some injustice taking place and that we will need to speak candidly. I did love how you mentioned that you will often go back and readdress the issue. I do know from experience that denying our emotions instead of allowing them to inform us is dangerous and unhealthy for our physical bodies. I highly recommend the 15 Commitment of Conscious Leadership.
