Extinguishing Pride Leviathan, the king of pride is overcome through our submission to God and humility with one another. Humility is extinguishes pride. Humility is not thinking less of yourself, but rather thinking of yourself less. Pride leaves the gate wide open for Levitation to operate in one’s life or in a corporate body if leadership opens the door through pride. How do we overcome pride? ° Prayer: Pray for humility for yourself and for others and ask others to pray for you. Be transparent and do not hide your sin. ° Scripture: Read the Bible and meditate on it ° Worship: Focus of worship ° Service: Serve others and show sacrificial love ° Accountability: Be open and honest about your shortcomings ° Repentance: Be genuinely repentant ° Embrace humility: Accept humbling experiences ° Associate with others based on character: Treat everyone equally and befriend people based on their character ° Fear the Lord: Submit to God. Pride is to be in opposition to God.
