Early this morning (July 31st, 2021), I was given a vision in which Bob Jones shared some things with me. A flyer appeared before me promoting a Carnival. Bob shared how internet activity (videos, blogs, etc.) “attractions” can become distractions, and in general, “ministry” over the internet has become “Carnival” like in nature. Then Bob held up an earring. It was a beautiful pearl set in gold. I knew this earring represented a Biblical Bond Servant/Slave. End. Exodus 21:6 says, then his master shall bring him to God [that is, to the judges who act in God’s name], then he shall bring him to the door or doorpost. And his master shall pierce his ear with an awl (strong needle); and he shall serve him for life. Bond Servant The Hebrew word for “bondservant,” ‘ebed, had a similar connotation. However, the Mosaic Law allowed an indentured servant to become a bondservant voluntarily: “If the servant declares, ‘I love my master and my wife and children and do not want to go free,’ then his master must take him before the judges. He shall take him to the door or the doorpost and pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be his servant for life” (Exodus 21:5-6). Romans 1:1-2 Paul, a [a]bond-servant of Christ Jesus, called as an apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative), set apart for [preaching] the [b]gospel of God [the good news of salvation], which He promised beforehand through His prophets in the sacred Scriptures— Galatians 1:10 Now am I trying to win the favor of men, or of God? Do I seek to please men? If I were still seeking popularity with men, I should not be a bond servant of Christ (the Messiah). The Birth of a Pearl Oysters make pearls in response to an irritant, such as a grain of sand or another object. When any irritant makes its way between the mollusk's shell and mantle, the creature produces nacre, a protective coating that helps reduce irritation. Nacre is also referred to as mother-of-pearl; it's made of microscopic crystals of calcium carbonate, and it also lines the interior of a mollusk's shell. Layers of nacre coat the irritant, eventually forming an iridescent gem (the pearl). Interpretation We only know in part, but what I received from this dream (and Bob) was that as Christians, we may run towards attraction after attraction and never arrive at the Main Attraction—The Lord. In our daily lives, or when we’re going through things (tragedy, depression, hopelessness, lack, bitterness, anger, sin, etc., we run to “attractions” that seem to give hope, instead of the Lord. Perhaps we know deep inside we may have to go through an “irritant process” if we choose to sit in The Lord’s Presence, and come face to face with the One Who knows all things. The Truth is, He does know all things (whether you sit with Him or not), but His greatest desire is for you to come near to Him (just as you are) and be free of everything that entangles you. He sent His Son, Who bore on Himself every evil, negative thing so you would be free! It’s His Gift to you and His greatest Joy would be in you receiving it! The Lord wants to walk with you and through you in good times and bad, and truly wants to do life with you! I liken this to a husband and wife, in that they can share their words with each other (communication) over coffee, but the closed door of the Secret Place (Hebrew “Yada,” Genesis 4:1) is another story. He sees the “Pearl” you are and has already set you in the Gold of His Divine Nature, and beckons you to become part of His family (A dearly beloved bond servant)! The more you sit in His Presence, the more you will take on His Divine Nature and become the bright precious gem you’ve been called to be. His Kingdom is the Pearl of great price (Matthew 13:45-46)! May the Circus leave town, and may you sit and behold the Greatest Show on Earth—The Lord and Savior, Your Beloved King!
