THE GIFT There's a gift under the twinkling lights in your home and it has your name on it. You have noticed it before, every year in fact, but it's so beautiful you have determined that you couldn't possibly be worthy of such a gift. It's a fairly large box wrapped in red silk with gold filigree ribbon. It seems to glow from within while it also reflects the lights around it. This is the year to open it. Don't wait any longer. It's OK to gently remove the ribbon. It's OK to carefully remove the silken wrap. The box is white and sturdy and the lid slides off smoothly. You catch your breath! Within is something so glorious and glistening it takes your breath away. What words can describe it? It feels alive! It's white yet it shimmers with opal essence and sparkles like tiny diamonds. Is it fur? When you touch it you are unsure but it is the softest sensation you have ever experienced. You reach in and slowly remove it from the box. It's a robe! It feels almost weightless yet it is thick and fluffy. It feels warm and inviting in your hands. No one is looking so you decide to slip it on knowing it must feel heavenly! Sure enough it feels like it's embracing you. You wrap your arms around it hugging it close. You've never felt so secure! You've never felt so treasured! You've never felt so valuable. You've never felt so loved! Then you realize it was always there. It's what Christmas is all about. The unconditional, all encompassing love of Jesus.🌟
