Today we are once again faced with the tragic and rampant assaults happening against the youth in our nation. The issues are complex, but the majority of it stems from unbridled sexual immorality and also widespread addictions. 1/3rd of America’s children live in single parent homes. That’s the highest rate of any nation in the world! All of our institutions that deal with troubled children are hugely overrun, understaffed, and in short supply. We, as the Body of Christ, have the answers and the resources from Heaven to deal with these things and help these families and children out! We have the guarantee from Jesus Himself that He will build the Church and the Gates of Hell will NOT prevail against it. We win! But we have to engage. Currently, the church at large is mostly not engaged in this battle, and therefore, we are losing - badly. Right now, in my opinion, there should be Christians in Madison, Wisconsin who are equipped to go minister to these families and their children who were affected by the school shooting. These Christians should know how to help parents with deliverance for their children and inner healing, guided by the Holy Spirit. Demons come in with trauma - especially if there is no one available to help children process the trauma. The Church needs to be equipped to do this! The Gospel of Mark presents 2 stories of Jesus delivering children - the Syropheonician mother (from where we get the phrase, “The Children’s Bread” (the only time it is used in the Bible)), and the story of the father with the deaf and mute son, who was possessed by demons who were trying to kill him. In both cases, it was ONE parent who went to Jesus and persistently asked Him to deliver their children. He did. Boom! It’s that simple. The children were not involved, except as recipients. There was no renouncing, repenting, forgiving, or finding the ancient curses or open doors. It is much simpler than the Enemy would have you believe. Yes, inner healing is more "involved”, but again, if you’re focused on hearing the Holy Spirit and ministering to the family in love, you can do this! Jesus sent novices out to deliver people and they were successful! Please get engaged in the fight for our children. The need is HUGE!
