Attention North Carolina voters: From Larry Byrd, President of Oak Initiative Ft. Mill. This week, Sen. Roger Marshall, M.D. (R-KS.) introduced the Defining Male and Female Act (SB5356). When this bill was first released in the House, Heritage Action issued a Key Vote in favor of cosponsorship for the legislation because it takes the obvious but necessary step of defining sex based on biology in federal law. Now, Sen. Marshall has introduced the same bill in the Senate saying “I didn’t think we would need legislation to tell us that there are only two sexes: male and female, but here we are.” Action Item: Contact Senator Thom Tillis and Senator Ted Budd.
