A mother rejected by her sons. The silent pain. The wound of deep rejection of the sons she gave birth to. This is the depth of pain the Lord feels for those, His children who reject Him. This is the reason He took the stripes and was wounded bitterly. Then endurance of pain, taking on undeserved shame. He carries in His body the wounds He took for the healing of our wounds. Jeremiah 30:17. NKJV For I will restore health to you And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord, ‘Because they called you an outcast saying: “This is Zion; No one seeks her.” ’ Isaiah 53:5 NKJV But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
