The 24 hour prayer chain that was started by the Moravian Brethren church lasted over 100 years, and fueled local and international missions efforts. In a recent prophetic dream, our friend Joe Sweet was shown the most effective strategy for countering a coming wave of Islamic terrorism in America was the simple strategy of prayer chains. He relates a story of a prophetic word given to churches on two islands in the Philippines, that a cyclone was coming, that could be averted by churches starting prayer chains to fervently pray for mercy. The two churches in adjoining villages who adopted the strategy were spared destruction when the prophesied cyclone arrived seven months later. It’s a stark illustration of the fact that God listens to prayer and lessens calamity for those who humble themselves and fervently intercede. Join us, won’t you?
