Generational curses, curses, and the curse of the law. From what I can tell, generational curses were on those who hated God, not those who love God. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. Exodus 20:5,6 Also, if we look later in the Old Testament in Ezekiel 18, we see that actually, the soul who sins will bare their own guilt, and should a son of a father who sins choose not to sin he will not be guilty. So Ezekiel 18 puts an end to even those generational curses which may have come upon those who hated God. In the New Covenant, for we who are now in Christ, He has become a curse for us. He has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Also too, we are born again, we no longer are of the lineage of our earthly parents, we are adopted as children of God, and He is now our lineage. We have become sons of God. No curse belongs to us, no curse can stick to us! We are free from curses! Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2 (Oh yeah; and for curses, hexes, vexes, incantations, spells, or any such thing brought against you! ) Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19 HalleluYah!! 🙌
