Moravian Falls was hit with a deluge last night from a frontal system, and today and tomorrow from Hurricane Helena (outer bands). I don't think I've ever seen this much rain here, but it's what we need. In Scripture, after the flood, every mention of rain is as a blessing. Moses said in Deut. 32:2, "Let my teaching fall upon you as the rain," and it often symbolizes teaching in prophetic dreams and visions. The last few weeks have certainly been one of the great "teaching moments" for our ministry in quite sometime, but the good we can already see from it is great. The south gets lashed by many hurricanes and tropical storms, but without them filling up our water tables we would be a desert. I've seen quite a few places wrecked by them, but within a year of so they are usually better than they were before the storm, and most are much better. Remember this when in the storm, and as we're promised that all things work out for good for those who love the Lord, you will see it.
