A great grace has been offered to us at MorningStar. Because "God resists the proud and give His grace to the humble," if we will embrace the discipline and humility caused by recent events, the promises God has given us will soon begin. What are these? The greatest of all the promises He has given to us is His manifest presence. "In His presence is fullness of joy." There is nothing we can experience on this earth as wonderful as His presence. We have had visitations of the Lord to draw us after Him, to impart to us the hunger for His presence so that we would above all things seek to be His dwelling place. As we have experienced times before, whenever there is a shaking it is followed by great advance. Now, if we will embrace with humility and thanksgiving the trials, we will be given the greatest treasure we can have on this earth--the nearness and the favor of the Lord. The next great promise He has given to us is to raise up a "new breed of ministry." He said this new breed of ministry would not rape His bride, abusing her and using her for their own gratification, but they would be used to prepare His bride. They would be the true friends of the bridegroom, and they will be His shepherds that will lay down their lives for His people, not use them to promote themselves. These will also prepare the way for His kingdom. Of course there will be others, but we must seize this greatest of all opportunities by embracing His correction with humility and thanksgiving, knowing that He disciplines those whom He loves.
