After reviewing some of the statements from Dr. Rick and watching the updated resignation video from Chris Reed on YouTube I sense the enemy has brought confusion, deception, unbelief and division in this matter. I’m not making this statement to take sides but I do believe the Leadership of Morningstar ministries is under spiritual attack for what occurred a few years ago for something that did not occur on any Morningstar events or property. As I understand it Morningstar did everything to reconcile with the victims and family to take responsibility for what happened in something that was outside of their control. All of the victim’s families were at peace and reconciliation except for one that decided to take legal action. I’m not accusing the family that decided to take legal action of retaliation but it seems they may want to take advantage of the what occurred for monetary gains and revenge. I’m not accusing them of this but we need to look at the motives of why they are doing this if MorningStar leadership did everything to cooperate with authorities and no wrong doing was found on their part along with an independent investigation confirming the same. I don’t think that MorningStar Leadership by defending their actions of no wrong doing is necessarily being against the victims of the abuser. We all have families and no one would want this to happen to their children. Morningstar Leadership is not defending the actions of the abuser by rejecting the false claims from one of the victim’s family against the leadership who had no involvement in this matter. I have very high respect for Chris Reed and feel he is under Spiritual attack for this but It sends a wrong message to take the victims family position for false accusations against the leadership who had no involvement. I’m not concerned with what occurred from the inappropriate behavior because Chris went through disciplinary action years ago and his ministry has been confirmed by God through many miracles, signs and wonders. This was already put behind. There can always be better ways to mitigate and prepare better policies and procedures to avoid these situations from happening. However, this is a spirit of accusation against the leadership of Morningstar being used by the victims’s family. Lawyers have a tendency to sue everyone whether they are responsible or not to financially maximize their claims. There is no justification for the abuse that happened to these children. They will need counsel and therapy for a very long time to heal from this. However, this situation should not be used as a motive to falsely accuse and malign leadership to financially take advantage of the situation for something outside of their control and bring division to the church.
