You can make a life transforming (and possibly life-saving) difference in the life of a young adult in the Charlotte area. Every year an average of 55+ kids age out of the foster care system without getting adopted. These orphans are at very high risk for homelessness, addictions, incarceration, trafficking, and even death. You can turn that around for them! Congregations for Kids (CFK - www.cfknc.org) is hosting an information meeting on becoming a mentor on Aug. 22nd from 6-7 p.m. at their offices near Uptown. They will have a “mentor match” event on Sept. 14th for those serious about mentoring a young adult in crisis. Here is the link to sign up for the Mentor Info meeting. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/mentor-info-session-tickets-876178131377?aff=oddtdtcreator&blm_aid=28201
