The Ark Brought to Jerusalem A procession of praise preceded the restoration of the ark of God’s presence to its mandated place among the Israelites. In triumph God through David led that procession. The ark had been the possession of the Philistines seven years. After the completion (refining) of the Israelites it was time to take the ark back. “As the ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth resounded.”(!!!) 1 Sam. 4:5 The Philistines heard the shout and feared. When the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said, “What does the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” Then they understood that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp. The Philistines were afraid, for they said, “God has come into the camp.” And they said, “Woe to us! For nothing like this has happened before. 1 Sam. 4:7 David again assembled the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand in all. And he and all his troops set out for Baale of Judaha to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name—the name of the LORD of Hosts, who is enthroned between the cherubim that are on it. 2 Chron. 6:1-2 The same is true today. At the appointed time (“seven” refining years) the Church will arise and reclaim true praise preceding the very presence of God. This has been known to a small degree by some but will sweep the earth before the Return of the King. The sound this time will bring forth the same result as the first-the earth will resound! The enemies of the cross will hear it and fear. The sky will tear open and Christ will appear!
