In Daniel 2, there is a prophetic picture that spans from Daniel's time to the end of this age. It is portrayed as a statue that represents all of the empires of men from Daniel's time to the end of this age. At the end a small stone strikes the feet of this stature and it begins to crumble. The small stone, which represents Christ, grows into a mountain, which is how governments are portrayed in Scripture, and continues to grow after becoming a government until it covers the whole earth. This Rock is growing in our midst now, just as the empires of men are crumbling. Even the strongest, most stable governments of men are fragile, and will ultimately crumble. Nothing will be left of any of them except what was built upon the truth of God's kingdom. As God's kingdom grows it will ultimately be the only government left standing. It will never shake or shrink, and we are promised that it will never stop growing ("there will be no end to it's increase" Isaiah 9:7). Do you want to invest in something that will never fail, and never stop growing? Invest in His kingdom. It is growing in our midst right now.
