Most expected Trump to win the debate, but it seems few expected the win to be so decisive. Trump did better than expected, and he landed some big punches, but was even more impressive by how controlled and patient he was. Biden did much worse than expected, and his expectations could hardly have been lower. What now? The Biden campaign was on life support before the debate even ended. His repeated drifting into such repeated incoherence was even more shocking than the extraordinary gaffs he made, even for him. Can Biden recover? No. For someone sitting in the most challenging job in the world, the question is now how quickly can he be replaced, and by who? The Vice President lives in the land of incoherence already, but I wouldn't bet against it. The speed with which Biden is melting down, she could end up President for a time. That's a very scary thought, but it looks inevitable. To be without a real captain in the midst of so many crises we're now in is a very dangerous place to be, but we've really been there for some time. It's just far more dangerous that the whole world has seen how void we are for leadership now. Only the grace of God will get us to the inauguration, and maybe that's the best place we can be. We need to see how far we have fallen as a nation, and how badly we need to turn back to Him, or we are not far from our own meltdown into oblivion.
