In John 16:33 Jesus said, "In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." So, why are we so shocked at the continually increasing troubles in the world? All of them are the result of man thinking we could run this world without God. The answer to all of the troubles in the world is to realize we can't run this world without Him, and return to Him. He does not just have the answers--He is the Answer! Biblical prophecy repeatedly tells us that the tribulation in this world will get so bad that He will come and stop it. Then the whole world know our Savior, and realize what folly it is to try to run things without Him. His kingdom is coming and will restore everything we have messed up. As we are told in Isaiah 11 and other places, this world will then be the Paradise it was originally created to be. Just as this is true for the world, it is true for us personally too. We need Him in our life as much as we do in the world. As we read in Daniel 2, when all the kingdoms of this world are collapsing, His kingdom will be growing in the world. Is His kingdom growing in us? The answer to every problem we have can be found by turning to Him.
