The Holy Spirit of God is like a still small voice that communes and communicates with our spirit. You can recognize His voice, because it exhibits the fruit righteousness, peace and joy in your life. It is always motivated by His Love. The enemy of our souls is not too good at doing the still small voice, but they can try. Satan and his many cohorts have to resort to communicating with head knowledge and outside references to yourself. They are very deceptive. By experience, I can tell you that they may try to be incognito, and we always have to discern the spirits of what we're hearing, to see if the knowledge we are receiving is coming from within your spirit, (if you have His Spirit), or in your mind. As for myself, once I determined that the fruit of the Holy Spirit is lacking in what I am hearing, I stop and try to trace back my steps to determine if, when and where false spirits have tried to interject their thoughts or ideas. This can be a little tricky, because false spirits don't always disagree with the letter of the law or the Bible, not blatantly. They just insert a little twist of the word here or there to see if we can accept the bait, and if they can thwart any of God's plan in our lives. Honestly, I have not found one person in which everything they said was perfectly correct without any mixture. There might be a few that seem extremely consistent, but I don't think any of us are perfect in this or beyond reproach. That is where the brothers and sisters in Christ come with spiritual discernment in Love. But if you are not connected and don't have many speaking into your life, then you could be lacking some of the additional safeguards that the Lord wants us all to have in each other. The enemy of our souls tries to create division in the body of Christ to disrupt this safeguard and try to get us off track. So if we are not willing to hear from our brothers and sisters or if they are not willing to speak to us continually, then it leaves us in a precarious situation. This is why we have to plea the blood of Jesus over each other, cover each other with love and forgiveness, pray for each other to guard against the deceitful schemes of the enemy. So if I ever say or do anything that does not seem to be of the Spirit of Love, with the fruit of righteousness, piece and joy, then I would hope that those who know me and love me, would pray for me and ask probing questions. The enemy of our souls would prefer that we rather cooperate with him, ostracize and gossip against one another. We all must be at least 'as wise as he is and as innocent as doves' as a scripture says. We should be careful so that none of us will fall. We should be careful, if we are marking anyone in our mind that seems to cause division too, because any of us can certainly participate in that process, and we are all accountable to God. As for me, I choose also to be accountable to my brothers and sisters in Christ. And I feel the grief of Holy Spirit when I see division in the body of Christ. It should be a fearful thing, to those who participate, because we will all be measured with the same measure that we use to measure others, as Jesus said. And if we judge them, then we will be Judged. That's why we have to choose to cover and forgive all, because that is what Jesus does for us. I can go back over things I've said in my life, especially in my younger years, and find mixture in it. And even if it is perfectly in line with what's the word of God, somehow we can still share it in the wrong spirit, not the Spirit of Love. So if I've done either of these things in the past, please forgive me. And if anyone has sinned against me in any way...know this: I forgive you. And know that I choose to continue to forgive, even if someone does not have a chance to repent of something. And I forgive in advance, FYI. I am a man completely dependent on the mercies of God, and the covering of the blood of Jesus...that is, I continually accept His forgiveness in Christ, and I know that I do not have a leg to stand on apart from it. Thank God! There is no one perfectly righteous apart from Him. And I'm so glad that even the we stumble, we have a perfect righteousness in Christ...He freely gives it to us to wear like a robe. Anyway I just wanted to say that, if I have sinned against you in any way, I pray that you fully receive the forgiveness of God, as you forgive me. Let's Love each other and help each other stand firm on the foundation that is the teachings of Christ, with Him being our Chief Cornerstone, by which we measure things by and choose to receive and submit to, in Love. And please, do not tolerate divisions between believers. Be careful how you handle situations, because it can be easy to fall into condemnation...I've been there. If we focus on Christ and Him crucified, then we should realize that we can all be one in Him. That is His proclaimed plan. God's will be done in our lives. Once I started tagging people in this post. I realized that I did not want to leave anyone out. I want @everyone to know what I choose to @highlight in my life (especially @followers of Jesus), because I know I have fallen short in this regard, many times.
