FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER the Women's NCAA Basketball Championship Game eclipsed the Men's in TV ratings this year! No doubt this was because of Catlin Clark of Iowa, who broke the all time scoring record for the NCAA, including the men's scoring record. She's perhaps the most exciting basketball player of either sex to emerge in years, and as the presumptive first player to be drafted in the WNBA could cause the WNBA to threaten the NBA in ratings very soon. If such a thing did happen, the WNBA start to threaten the NBA in ratings, it would no doubt propel all women's sports to a new level. In this modern world that is so consumed with sports, this would no doubt propel women to a new level. Interestingly, the head coach of the South Carolina Women's Basketball team, which just beat Catlin Clark's Iowa team for the national championship, has publicly stated to be for having trans players who are biological males, compete in women's sports, which is threatening the continued existence of women's sports. Even so, women's basketball is exciting, it has been for a long time, and it is conceivable that many women's sports begins to compete with some men's sports in popularity, and some day maybe all of them. There are few human beings who have lifted a sport like Catlin Clark has, or a Tiger Woods who lifted all of golf to a higher level. Jesus taught to give honor to whom honor is due, and it is right to acknowledge and celebrate such accomplishments, but we serve a King who has, and will, lift up all of mankind. He's the only One we should worship.
