“Tribes” are ok as long as they do not become cliques or find themselves becoming elitists. Unfortunately, selfish thinking separates the body of Christ as a whole by these attitudes (cliques & elitism). It’s very important to be a part of a group that are likeminded. What I’ve found is that some find their tribe but speak divisively with subtle remarks about other churches that believe the same essentially, or may not believe the same and will exclude others and become exclusive as if their church or tribe is superior. It’s divisive and not what the Bible teaches. Jesus had the core 1-3, the 12 and the following. The only people he “called out” were those who should have known better… the Pharisees & Sadducees. We’ve got to remember we’re a body with many parts. (Worldwide) we’re not all that and a bag of chips. We’re a part of the glorious church belonging and espoused to Christ Jesus. —— John 17:21-23 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
