Keep Covenant over our Gates We need to keep covenant over our gates. Many think that is over the top however, John the Baptist was a Nazarite - limited by God from the world's provision and what they eat. All of our senses have appetites. All types of sin feed appetites. Everything we consume (eat/take in), we consummate covenant with. Our appetites are cleansed by our communion with God. I don't know about you, but my gates (taste, see, smell, hear, and touch) are important to me. As gatekeepers our first responsibility is our own gates and then our metron in our assignment. Whenever you take something into you (consume it) you are making covenant with it. You give your trust to it. Our gates are not to allow anything and everything to come into them / through them. cov·e·nant ˈkəvənənt/Submit noun 1. an agreement. synonyms: contract, agreement, undertaking, commitment, guarantee, warrant, pledge, promise, bond, indenture; More verb 1. agree, especially by lease, deed, or other legal contract.
